Hello all, and a Happy New Year!

The last quarter of 2011 was a hectic time for us here at Chamber. We’ve been lucky enough to have some superb bands through our doors and have worked on some wonderful projects...OK Social Club, Matt Norris and the Moon, Alasdair Roberts, Gareeda, Penny Black and Ded Rabbit to name but a few.

The big news here though is that the re-capping of our Neve VR Legend console is now complete thanks to the extraordinary Mr Reuben Taylor. For those of you who aren’t familiar with the term, it is the replacement of all the capacitors in the console...channel strips and master section. We believe he’s replaced around 15,500 in total. As you can imagine, this is a mammoth task and we’re very lucky to have such a competent and patient technician who is capable of doing such things. So, once again, thank you Reuben, and we’re very grateful for all the hours you’ve put in.

As we’re talking about technical changes in the studio, over the coming months you can expect to see a fair bit of work happening. There will be further acoustic treatment taking place in both the live room and the booths, with emphasis on creating more unique spaces within the area we have. You can also expect to see some new additions to the microphone cupboard and outboard racks in the near future. And if anyone is interested, we do have some equipment for sale. If you are in the market for anything, give us a shout through the contact page and we’ll get a list off to you asap.

We’ve got some wonderful projects in the diary for the first few months of 2012, plus a few interesting things of our own making. We’ll keep you updated as best we can through the website but as always, if you just can’t wait for the latest, head over to our Facebook page and we’ll keep you in the loop.

Cheers, G.
